"aeon" duo

essi kiiski violino / violin

eduardo andrade pianoforte

Composizione con L. Coral, H. Hernandez-Medrano and E. Sciandrone. I suoi lavori sono eseguiti in Messico, Regno Unito e Finlandia.
Aeon began in 2013 when Essi Kiiski (Finland) and Eduardo Andrade (Mexico) started studies at the Royal College of Music. The players share a passion for adventuring into different styles and their repertoire ranges from traditional classical works, folkloric music and pieces composed by Andrade. The Latin word Aeon was chosen by the duo because it means ‘life’ or ‘Eternity’. They believe that music is an art form that transcends time in a unique way. During the year 2015 Aeon performed with two programs: one dedicated to Finnish composer Jean Sibelius to celebrate his 150 commemoration year and another that introduces traditional Mexican music to highlight the UK-Mexico dual year 2015. The duo performed these programs in London, in the International Aberdeen Youth Festival in Scotland, in Mexico City and Kotka, Finland.
